Hartburn Cubs

Cubs

The second section of the Scouting Family

Age 8-10½  years for boys and girls

Cub Scouts are called a Pack, within this they will form into smaller groups called Sixes; each Six will have a Sixer who will help the Leaders with organisation, they may have a Seconder

The Cub Section started in 1916 in response to the demand from younger boys for Scouting  (no girls allowed at that time)

Uniform: dark green sweatshirt; black or dark blue activity trousers or school type trousers;  Group neckerchief; woggle

Cub Scouts earn badges in recognition of the work and effort they put in.

The Cub Scout Promise:

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

Or non faith version

I promise that I will do my best
To uphold our Scout values, to do my duty to the Queen,
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law.

The Cub Scout Law:

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.
